Many were thumped, 53 were arrested for being part of the first Sydney Gay Mardi Gras. This retrospective is a sample of local gay male lit from that time. 2007 Perverse Verse
Queer Poets Read.

This event was a Mardi Gras festival tradition celebrating GLBTQ poetry. Sponsored by the Feminist Bookshop, and held at the NSW Writers Centre in Callan Park, Rozelle, the afternoon features readings by some of this city's best known poets and authors; 11 poets on stage 3 February 2007. Featured poets include Michael Farrell, Beatriz Copello, Jill Jones, John Rule, Julia Phillips, Michael West, Gabe Jones, Neil Stuart, Tricia Dearborn, Roni Potts, and Bronwyn Winter.

2006 Perverse Verse
Queer Poets Read.

The 2006 event happened on Saturday 11th of February; about 150 people turned up for the readings and drinks in the sunset on the verandas, and a chance to chat with the poets.
